Energy efficiency service may have come just in time.
Not only do we spend millions of dollars in our power bills annually, we also contribute to the acceleration of global warming through our insatiable use of fossil fuel.
Energy Industries tries to counter these problems by providing companies efficient energy systems.
According to president and CEO, Darren Kimura, a facility's energy system must be properly designed, installed and maintained over the long term in order to save energy.
"We provide (consumers) consultative services as to how much energy can be saved," he said. "We want the customer to achieve that energy savings. We don't want them to just buy off on a concept and never ever see that achievable energy savings."
Mr. Kimura said his services offer a win-win situation to everyone in the community, from consumers to the government. "When you do an energy efficiency project, you save money as a consumer. The utilities reduce their demand thereby reducing the atmospheric pollution; Uncle Sam gets paid in taxes."
He said the entire concept of energy efficiency goes much further beyond just saving money.
"It goes into really our atmosphere, our world." "When we use energy more efficiently, we can actually reduce the amount of coal or oil we're burning, thereby reducing the amount of atmospheric pollution," Mr. Kimura added.
The company also provides awareness through educating consumers about energy saving alternatives.
