With a wealth of real estate business experience, Steve Metter shares the fruits of his labor to the greater community.

Co-owner of MW Group Ltd., Metter encourages his employees to do social and community-based activities through what they dub, "The Bridge program."

"We do two to four events a year and we donate $20 an hour for their (the employee's) activities in the community," Metter said. "Half that money  is put into a  pool  to give to whatever charity, schools, softball leagues, whatever they want, of their choosing;. Then the other half goes into a company pool. Four employees are selected to choose for the entire company where that money goes."

Metter said the program, which was influenced by CWS Capital Partners based in California, fuses philanthropy and fun-based activities for their employees.  Metter and his partner do not participate in choosing their recipients allowing for  fuller participation and involvement by their team members.

Last year, MW Group sponsored a car wash charity titled "Make Your Boss Wash Your Car" where earnings had been donated to a rehabilitation center.
Metter started early in the industry, buying his first condominium at the age of 19.

18 months later he sold the unit and used the net profit plus student loans to fund his studies at UC Berkeley where he took Social Science.
