It is seeing the end result of one's labor that makes community involvement such a fulfilling experience.  And for BizWorld Foundation, a non-profit, youth education-oriented organization, the upshot has finally arrived.

Member of the foundation, Atty. Hale Boggs, says the efforts of their business education program have come to bear fruit. According to Boggs, the realization was set forth last year in an annual fundraiser in San Francisco when some of the individuals who went through the program came out and shared their successes under the mentorship of BizWorld.

"It's been ongoing now for eight or nine years, and some of our so-called graduates are now through college.  One of them had started a company in the technology industry and had successfully raised venture capital," said Boggs who is also a partner in Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, LLP.  "Several others are in the last years of their university experience, doing things on campus, in terms of businesses that they are starting while they're actually at school still."

"So clearly the program has worked. I mean, these kids remembered it, they could directly point to some of the stuff they learned during the BizWorld program as things that helped them with their future fundraising efforts. It was really neat to hear about it," Boggs added.

The foundation has also extended his firm's client base through establishing a network with the Board of Directors-just one of the many perks of providing for posterity.
