Crystal Rose's passion takes her to solve people's problems that they find hard to unravel themselves-and this truly fits in her profession as a lawyer. But this passion also brings her to an even greater participation, non-profit involvement.
Besides her family and career at Bays, Deaver, Lung, Rose and Baba, Crystal is also a member in the boards of more than a dozen organizations. She said that treating community involvement and business as a single entity makes it easier to manage one's time and be an effective player at that.
"I actually see it as all part of business. Because I believe that if we support our community then it actually supports business and I truly believe that," Crystal said.
According to Crystal, finding one's passion is instrumental in not only attaining success, but also happiness in life.
"It drives you when no one else can," she said. "Find your passion because if you find that, then work is easy and it's fun and you're giving back and only good things can happen."
Crystal's parents played an important role in her upbringing, teaching her the value of education and the importance of altruism. And now, Crystal imparts the same message to her chidlren, that is to approach each and everyday as a new learning experience.
In recognition of her outstanding performance as a laywer/entrepreneur, Crystal Rose was awarded the O'o Award - Hawaii Business Person of the Year and PBN - Business Woman of the Year in 2000 and 2005 respectively.
