James Yamada Jr. believes that entrepreneurs have an obligation to help the public.  Yamada's company donated close to $1 million to charities in 2005.

"Anyone that is going to be involved in business, I think has a social obligation to go and touch and change lives," Yamada said.

Richardson Expresses Gratitude Through Community Involvement

Involvement in charitable giving is Bill Richardson's way of saying thank you.

A venture capitalist with HMS Hawaii Management Partners, Richardson contracted a kidney disease and has since received a transplant and two artificial hips to alleviate the problem.
