Central Pacific Bank remains a staunch supporter of the Greater Good mission as it extends its sponsorship of Greater Good Television in 2007.
For their commitment to the greater good of the community, CPB 's chief executive officer, Clint Arnoldus, congratulates Evan and Kari Leong and the launch of their new TV program on KGMB9.
According to Arnoldus, like the Leongs, CPB has been commited to the greater good of its customers and the community since its inception in 1954, when World War II veterans established Central Pacific Bank through grassroots effort.
CPB takes pride in their dedicated efforts to serve the community. And as a validation to their philanthropic mission, the bank was honored the Outstanding Corporation Award at the National Philanthropy Day Awards.
CPB provides support to more than 350 trade, service and charitable agencies including the March of Dimes, Aloha United Way and the Hawaii Food Bank. The bank has partnered with the American Red Cross-Hawaii Chapter to recognize Hawaii's "True Blue Heroes."
According to Arnoldus, CPB maintains its most utile pojects and continues to form other initiatives that benefit Hawaii.
"We have continued "Come Play Bingo," our program that educates seniors about ways to avoid theft and fraud," Arnoldus said. "We have also enjoyed another year with radio station KSSK in our annual Posse CATCH Fund, which is a grassroots effort to make Hawaii a better place to live."
For the third year in a row, the U.S. Small Business Administration named Central Pacific Bank SBA Lender of the Year for providing more SBA loans than any other community bank (Category II) in Hawaii, a proof to its understanding of the importance of small businesses in the overall health of the economy.
The formation of Women's Business Central empowers Hawaii's businesswomen and professionals by providing valuable information, education, resources and networking opportunities. Arnoldus said this project "recognizes and applauds the tremendous impact women in business have on our economy and our community, and are dedicated to helping them succeed in both their professional and personal lives."
One of the WBC's officers, Central Pacific Bank Vice President and Business Banking Officer Naomi Masuno, has been named the Small Business Administration's 2006 Lending Officer of the Year. Naomi also won the award in 2005.
