Marsha Nadalin Salon & Spa has partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation of Hawaii to mark the company's launching of its annex boutique on August 26, 6 to 9pm.  Marsha Nadalin employees will be doing mini services for a minimum of $10 donation with all proceeds going to the foundation.
These mini services include hand massages, makeup touch up, hair styling, mini facials and chair massages.

According to president of the salon and spa, Marsha Nadalin, the company has searched high and low for a local charity to celebrate their opening and chose Make-A-Wish because of its unique mission.

"Make-A-Wish is a wonderful organization that grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses," Marsha said.  "They are very well run, and money donated to them really goes right to the kids as their operating budget is very small."

"The wonderful thing also is all money raised from our event goes to local children," she added.

Annex Marsha Nadalin is a full-service hair salon providing all hair and beauty needs such as cuts, color, perms and hair extensions. It will now include a special lash extension and waxing room. They also have a Color Bar, an interactive area where customers can get more involved in the coloring and color selection process and watch the stylist formulate their color.

"It's as cool as watching the bartender mix your drinks," said Marsha.

According to Marsha, she has seen the benefits of her company contributing to organizations in need and can't imagine not giving back. The relationships that Marsha Nadalin Salon and Spa has built with its clients has opened the door to community giving.

"Our clients are our friends and when they ask us to help a non-profit organization that they support, we do our best to help with a donation. We can't say no to helping our friends for a good cause," she said.

Incorporated late in 1982, Make-A-Wish, Hawaii, is the 13th of 69 chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Territory of Guam, that comprise the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.  There are also 30 affiliates on five continents that comprise Make-A-Wish Foundation International.  The Hawaii chapter has grown steadily with the help of caring people who volunteer their time and support.  The first Hawaii wish was granted in 1984.  Now, 23 years later, more than 600 wishes have been completed.
